I tried a poly relationship many many years ago, but things didn't work out. Looking back, I don't think I was mentally or emotionally ready, even though I knew it was right for me.

I'm happily married, but my wife and I have agreed to have an open relationship since we both feel the same concerning love and multiple partners. Now that I've got a bit of background out of the way, here's more about me.

I'm a self professed nerd and child of the night. I spend a lot of time reading and playing games online. I'm also a huge movie buff, my favorites being sci-fi and horror. I also enjoy playing board games and card games with friends and family. I love kids, and have thought of adopting, but as of right now the only type I have are the four legged variety. Our little zoo currently includes three dogs, one cat, and at the moment eight bearded dragons.

I also enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, arts and crafts, and going to conventions. I'm not a religious person, though I am a spiritual one. Just to throw this out there, I do have some health issues that can limit me at times. I'd rather not talk about them out in the public eye, but I'm more than willing to share if you're curious.

What I'm looking for in a partner is someone who is my friend first, and a romantic interest second. I've found working it the other way around doesn't work well for me. Obviously someone who shares at least some of my interests and hobbies is a must. While I'd prefer someone who is close to me, distance is something that can possibly be worked around.
